Rush River Lodge
Western Wisconsin
The Rush River Lodge is nestled along the wooded river meadows of western Wisconsin. Envisioned as a modern retreat, the repurposing of the existing barn utilizes new building materials, creating vast spaces and large operable fenestration, blurring the boundaries of inside and out within the context of its lush environment.
Maintaining characteristics of the original building, the structure of the barn has been lifted onto a new poured foundation and wrapped with both new and repurposed materials, helping to realize the old and new.
